Well this is the $1,000,000 question isn’t it? You want high speed broadband but what do you go for, and what do you really need? You might not even really need high speed broadband…
These days most people are using speeds of up 8mb, and for many folks this is ample, and high speed broadband is just something that they wouldn’t need to consider. However, people are people, and like the Americans, we too must have everything bigger, better, stronger and faster! This is why there are speeds available of up to 20mb!
High speed broadband isn’t necessarily a fixed speed. When you buy highspeed broadband you will get an optimal speed, wholly dependent upon your location and other factors. When high speed broadband advertise their speeds they are giving you an indication of just how fast your high speed connection can be. They pretty much all fluctuate constantly.
There are a number of things that can effect the flow of your high speed broadband and i’ll discuss some of these in later posts when there’s a little more space and time for you all to read it. Just know for now that when you go out to compare high speed broadband, you will not necessarily know exactly what speed you will get, and neither will the shop assistant. They will probably tell you pretty much the same as me, that being high speed broadband speed can be very fluctuating, yet it is still worth doing if you think you need it. For many people 8mb is plenty.
